Oct 10, 2018. #1. My friend has a Mahindra 8560 and we need to service it this fall. As good as the tractor is overall, the owner's manual is a bit lacking, TBH. The manual often refers to brand specific stuff (example: the power steering fluid recommends Mobil AW46 type fluid; we used the RK AW46 equivilant).
TeslaEng said: Agree it should not be leaking, should not be low fluid, especially not a 1 year old car. If your reading of the fluid level was correct then something is probably leaking. I looked everywhere, and could not find any traces of a leak. After I change my fluid, I will monitor the level closely.
Power steering fluid is not universal and is not interchangeable among all vehicles. The specific type of power steering fluid required for a vehicle depends on various factors. These include the design of the power steering system and the vehicle manufacturer's specifications.
Actuley ass hat, it did, im simply saying that using universal power steering fluid in my case has not been a good idea, had I used honda power steering fluid mabye i wouldnt have the problems I have now. Take it or leave it. When people respond to your posts, be thankfull for what they respond, dont act like a fucking smart ass.
